Could you lead volunteer working parties at Bentley Priory?
Bentley Priory is one of Harrow’s best loved open spaces, and many Harrow residents would be happy to give some time to help maintain and improve it. We just need someone to lead them! As a volunteer liaison officer you would welcome volunteers to the working party, explain what the task was, and monitor the work. You would make people feel valued: we find that a biscuit break mid-morning works well (we have a budget for biscuits!). You don’t need to be an ecologist or an expert in natural history – Bentley Priory has a management committee that includes qualified ecologists who know what needs to be done. The time commitment would not be large, probably one three hour working party every month, though that is all for discussion. To find out more (no obligation!) email admin@harrownc.org.uk or phone Steve Bolsover on 020 8933 2823.
